The Xiaomi Mi Band 6/Mi Smart Band 6 has been discovered in a group of EU Declaration of Conformity documents that have been filed by a representative from Huami. The documents include a live image of a fitness tracker, which is clearly the expected Mi Band 6. Somewhat disappointingly, the wearable is pictured lying on its side.
The model name mentioned in the documents is “XMSH15HM”, which has previously been linked with the Mi Band 6. At the bottom of each document is the same real life image of the smart band that shows it with a magnetic charging cable. Unsurprisingly, the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 looks very much like the Mi Band 5, although it is expected the 2021 model will feature a larger display.
While the documents and live image of the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 don’t reveal too many pertinent details, such as specs, price, and launch, it does indicate that a release date could be coming sooner than expected. After all, there is a physical representation of the Mi Band 6 on show here that demonstrates at least a pre-production model is ready. The documents can be found via the official global site for Xiaomi (file: Mi_SmartBand_6-XMSH15HM).
Mi Band 6 leaks and rumors have revealed that the activity tracker could come with an SpO2 sensor for blood-oxygen level measurement, integrated Amazon Alexa assistance, built-in GPS, and even complete support for instant messaging services. A price tag of around US$40 is likely for the Xiaomi Mi Band 6/Mi Smart Band 6, with a launch seemingly coming sooner rather than later.
