Xiaomi has sent out MIUI 12 beta builds to a number of its premium phones over the past few weeks, but is now suspending the MIUI 12 rollout for the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Redmi K30 Pro. The company seeks to better optimize the software, and has confirmed that the rollout will continue soon.

Xiaomi's MIUI 12 rollout remains in the early stages but appears to have hit an unexpected roadblock. The company started sending out beta stable MIUI 12 builds to the Redmi K20, Mi 9T, and Mi 9 over the past few weeks, but new information indicates that the rollout has been suspended temporarily.

Xiaomi has confirmed that it's suspending the MIUI 12 update for the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Redmi K30 Pro. A very early rollout started for the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro last week, but will now be put off. Supposedly, Xiaomi's decision is in an attempt to improve connectivity performance and overall stability of future builds, perhaps by optimizing SoC-level code. The rollout is expected to continue in three weeks.

It would appear the MIUI 12 still hasn't been perfected—which should be obvious seeing as only beta builds have been sent out so far, and only to a select few. Xiaomi has botched a few rollouts this year, so going back to the drawing board for better optimization is likely the best possible decision.
