Xiaomi has decided to move to volume two of the MIUI 12 Global ROM bug tracker, with the first volume featuring 77 bugs that Mi Pilot volunteers have sent to the Chinese OEM. While some have been fixed, there are still many issues that retain a “Reported” status, which implies that Xiaomi has a lot of work to do in terms of ironing out all of the glitches in MIUI 12. Bugs #70 to #77 all affected the POCO F1, and it appears the second volume of reported bugs is also going to make POCO F1 owners wary about installing MIUI 12.
Out of 12 bugs already reported in volume two (see screenshot below), five of them are related to the POCO F1: overheating problem, missing wallpaper, 4K video-processing troubles, video editor glitch, and a sound effect bug. There are also a couple of bugs each for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (WhatsApp notifications, slow app opening) and the POCO F2 Pro (locked apps problem, random reboots occurring). None of these newly listed bugs currently have a “Fixed” status.
Also featuring on the Xiaomi MIUI 12 Global ROM bug tracker Vol. 2 are the Redmi 9A/Redmi 9C, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and POCO X3 NFC. While the Redmi devices are having issues with app splitting and charging errors, respectively, it appears the very popular POCO X3 NFC is facing a slight visual hitch when being charged. While some of the bugs seem reasonably insignificant, POCO F1 owners will likely be wondering why the MIUI 12 ROM for their particular device wasn’t tested more thoroughly before being rolled out on a wider basis.
