The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 finally receives MIUI 12 globally with no catches
It has been a few weeks since Xiaomi began rolling out V12.0.2.0.QEJMIXM to the Pocophone F1, but it has been a bumpy road. Despite it being one of the final devices to receive MIUI 12, Xiaomi has seemingly dragged its heels in pushing V12.0.2.0.QEJMIXM to the Pocophone F1. The update looked to be on a limited release earlier this month, but Xiaomi has finally confirmed that it is not messing about with V12.0.2.0.QEJMIXM anymore.
The update should now be rolling out to all devices simultaneously, not in batches as is the case with many MIUI updates. Accordingly, V12.0.2.0.QEJMIXM should be arriving as an over-the-air (OTA) on your Pocophone F1 now, if it has not already. Given the tardiness of the arrival of MIUI 12 on the Pocophone F1, it should come as no surprise to see Xiaomi push an Android 10 build to the device, rather than a new Android 11 one that has already reached some devices.
If your device is yet to receive a notification to download V12.0.2.0.QEJMIXM for whatever reason, then you can grab the recovery and fastboot ROMs from Mi.com. Xiaomi has also published a flashing guide if you are new to installing ROMs on Android or Xiaomi smartphones, which is accessible via the same link. Please note that V12.0.2.0.QEJMIXM contains the September set of security patches too, denoting that it is not the most recent of updates. Based on Xiaomi's record, the Pocophone F1 should receive at least one more MIUI update, bringing it up to MIUI 13.
