POCO has opened a public bug report in regard to the widely reported ghost screen issue that has affected many owners of the company’s smartphones. Although the report specifically mentions the POCO X3 Pro, many other Global devices have suffered from ghost touch problems. A user has offered up a fix for PUBG Mobile that might work for some.

A MIUI bug report has been officially opened in the POCO community forums to keep users informed about the well-known ghost screen issue that has affected some of the company’s Global devices. The ghost screen issue is listed here as affecting the POCO X3 Pro, with ROM versions V12.0.3.0.RJUIDXM, V12.5.1.0.RJUIDXM, V12.5.1.1.RJUIDXM, and V12.5.2.0.RJUIDXM being problematic. However, many POCO users with other models, such as the POCO F3 and even the venerable POCO F1, have complained about ghost touching.

Unfortunately, the MIUI bug report does not offer a direct fix or workaround for users struggling to register touch inputs on their POCO device. There is a claim that the “feedback ratio has decreased”, offering up the suggestion that POCO is actively working on fixing the ghost screen problem. Forum responders are already posting about their frustration with POCO, while one poster has offered up a potential fix that involves removing the screen protector from the POCO X3 Pro to solve the ghost touch issue.

While POCO slowly attempts to offer up a solution that will satisfy users struggling with sticky screens and ghost touches, a YouTube user has at least posted up a potential fix for those who want to play PUBG Mobile on the POCO X3 Pro without being hamstrung by a ghost screen. Developer mode needs to be enabled for this particular workaround, button shortcuts need to be disabled, and after following through the various steps shown in the video below, the user also has to switch off optimized touch controls.
