Xiaomi unveiled MIUI 12 a few weeks ago and has now begun sending out the update to its phones. Last week, the company sent out the update to the Mi 9T and Redmi K20, and the rollout is continuing with the Mi 9, Xiaomi's last-gen flagship phone.
Like with the K20 and Mi 9T, the update is the beta stable update. That means it's a precursor to the full rollout, as long as there aren't any major complaints from those who receive the update. The update is now being sent out to testers across Europe. The update carries the software version "V12.0.0.9.QFAEUXM" and weighs in at 1.1 GB, which is significantly bigger than the Redmi K20 and Mi 9T's updates, although the changelogs are identical.
Xiaomi's MIUI 12 rollout is split into two stages. The first stage will see the Mi 9, Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro receive the update exclusively. Others are listed for the second stage. With the Redmi K20, Mi 9T, and Mi 9 having received the MIUI 12 update, that leaves the Mi 9T Pro and Redmi K20 Pro as the next phones on the agenda.
