Vivo Watch 6: New smartwatch released with 3,500-nit AMOLED display and 21 days battery life
Earlier today, Vivo launched the X500 Pro series in its home market. Simultaneously, the company unveiled the X500 too as a cheaper alternative to both the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max. Moreover, it has expanded its smartwatch division with a sixth-generation model.
To recap, Vivo introduced the Watch 5 and Watch GT 2 in 2025. While the Watch GT 3 has not touched down yet, Vivo has now released the Watch 6 in China with compatibility for Android and iOS devices. In short, the Watch 6 leans far less on the Pixel Watch (curr. $429 on Amazon). Instead, the Watch 6 looks more like a classic timepiece.
Nonetheless, the new smartwatch contains a 1.47-inch AMOLED display set within a 45 mm case, which boasts a 466 x 466-pixel resolution and 3,500 nits peak brightness. Although the circular display peaks at just 60 Hz, Vivo claims that it features a comparatively smaller bezel measuring 1.49 mm on all sides. Also, the Watch 6 is said to be 9.5 mm thick while weighing between 38 g and 44 g, depending on the model.
Furthermore, the Vivo Watch 6 leverages a 505 mAh battery that should last up to 21 days of light usage. Reportedly, enabling the smartwatch's always-on display (AoD) functionality reduces official battery life estimates to 6 days, though. Similarly, one can expect up to 7 days of battery life when regularly using eSIM functionality.
Pricing starts at CNY 999 (~$149) with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity in a choice of Moonlight and Wilderness stainless steel finishes. Alternatively, the Vivo Watch 6 can be purchased with eSIM connectivity and the same finishes for CNY 1,399 (~$209). Finally, a titanium version runs to CNY 1,999 (~$299) with eSIM connectivity. There is no word on international availability yet, though.
