Amazfit releases new premium smartwatch globally with 3,000 nit AMOLED display and up to 180 days battery life

Thanks to front and rear-facing photovoltaic solar panels, the T-Rex Dual Solar is said to extract up to 25 days of battery life from its 660 mAh cell. Reportedly, exposing the smartwatch's front solar panel to 50,000 lux of sunlight for three hours per day extends its battery life to 34 days, though. Moreover, solar charging Amazfit's new smartwatch using its rear panels under the same conditions supposedly delivers up to 51 days of battery life, or up to 180 days with outdoor extreme mode enabled.

For reference, this peak battery life claim falls short of Garmin's for the Fenix 9 Pro Solar. As we have discussed separately, the Fenix 9 Pro Solar boasts up to 291 days of battery life in power-saving mode. The T-Rex Dual Solar achieves its extended battery life with an AMOLED display though, rather than the lower-contrast and slower Memory in Pixel (MiP) panel used in the Fenix 9 Pro Solar.

The T-Rex Dual Solar combines a sapphire crystal display with a titanium housing, too. On top of that, Amazfit pre-installs offline maps and other features like hybrid training tools. The T-Rex Dual Solar is available to order from September 22 for $649.99, £649.90 and €649.90 in the US, UK and the Eurozone, respectively.
