Xiaomi launches new smartwatch globally with up to 21 days battery life and 2,000-nit AMOLED display
Xiaomi has expanded its burgeoning smartwatch portfolio with another global launch. To recap, the company presented the Smart Band 11 Active earlier this summer before releasing it globally. Moreover, it also sells the Redmi Watch 6 Active and Redmi Watch 6 Lite in multiple countries, too (curr. $71.99 on Amazon).
Now, Xiaomi has pivoted to the Smart Band 11, which debuted on September 3 in China. For the time being, we cannot find the Smart Band 11 listed on any of Xiaomi's regional websites. Likewise, third-party retailers have not started stocking the Smart Band 11 outside China, either.
In the meantime, Xiaomi has listed the fitness tracker on its global website. Not only does this signify that a global release is incoming, but it reveals hardware specifications outside of China, too. For instance, Xiaomi showcases Midnight Black, Glacier Silver, Mystic Rose and Pearl White finishes on its global website.
By extension, the Smart Band 11 will be available outside China with a ceramic frame, distinguished as the 'Ceramic Edition'. Xiaomi also plans to sell the Smart Band 11 with NFC connectivity for contactless payment purposes. A 1.72-inch and 2,000-nit AMOLED display returns too, as does a 233 mAh battery rated for up to 21 days of usage between charges. Unfortunately, international availability and pricing remain unknown for now.
