T14s 2-in-1 Gen 2 with Intel Panther Lake: Lenovo ThinkPad convertible for business can now hold two pens

Probably the least bought of the ThinkPad T series, but certainly not the least interesting model, carries the name ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 - the convertible variant of the ThinkPad T14s. In Barcelona, Lenovo used the Mobile World Congress 2026 as a backdrop to announce the newest version of this line, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 Gen 2.
As it is based on the regular T14s Gen 7, most of the changes to that machine apply to the T14s 2-in-1 Gen 2, too, including the third USB-C port on the right side and the lower weight. While the 2-in-1 is still heavier, with 1.34 kg instead of 1.4 kg of the predecessor, it is noticeably more lightweight.
Like the T14s 2-in-1 Gen 1 (available on Amazon), the second generation model keeps the processor choice more simple than its clamshell counterpart: Customers can just buy various Intel Panther Lake variants, AMD and Qualcomm CPUs are not available here. RAM is soldered with up to 64 GB and the maximum SSD capacity is 2 TB. Likewise, the screen options are more simple for this model, too, as unlike the T14s Gen 7, there is no 2.8K OLED option here, just a simple WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) IPS panel.
Of course, the main difference between the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 Gen 2 and the T14s Gen 7 are the convertible features, which include the metal 360 degree hinges that allow the transformation into the tablet mode, as well as the device having a glass panel in front of the screen and it being a touchscreen - and pen-enabled.
Crucially, Lenovo brings back a feature that the previous version of the T14s 2-in-1 lacked, the garaged pen. It is back and mainly meant for note-taking. Users who prefer a bigger pen can still use it, and it can still be attached to the side of the screen, as Lenovo still puts magnets here to give its users the option.
Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 Gen 2: Pricing and availability
Starting at €1,750, the T14s 2-in-1 G2 is the most expensive model of the ThinkPad T series. It will be available in May 2026.
