Realme's launch event a few hours ago may have been headlined by the RealmeBook and Realme Master GT series but the company also announced the upcoming launch of a new lineup: its tablet series, starting with the Realme Pad.
This isn't the first time the Realme Pad has surfaced. The device was certified a few weeks ago but has now been officially confirmed by the company. There wasn't much to be said about the device, though, other than it would "be released soon". The Realme Pad was also mentioned on Twitter, with company CMO Francis Wong confirming an AMOLED display for the tablet.
The Realme Pad comes after the release of Xiaomi's Mi Pad 5 series, a lineup already selling incredibly well in China. Considering Realme's rivalry with Xiaomi, it's expected that the Realme Pad will be positioned against the Mi Pad 5. It likely already has an edge over the Xiaomi tablet, too, as the Mi Pad 5 series offers only LCDs, while the Realme Pad will sport an AMOLED panel.
There's not much known about the Realme Pad at the moment, but the aforementioned certification listing revealed two models, with battery capacities of 6,952mAh and 7,100mAh. We'll be sure to keep you updated on this.
