According to a report, the Mi 12T and Redmi K50 could be very similar devices. The Mi 12T may have a few advantages over the Redmi K50 though, including OIS.

Xiaomiui has spotted another two unreleased Xiaomi smartphones in Mi Code. Apparently, one of the devices is the Mi 12T, codenamed Psyche. The Mi 12T also bears the model number L3A, for reference.

Reputedly, the Mi 12T will support OIS, although it is unclear which camera sensor will be optically stabilised. Regardless, Xiaomiui states that the Mi 12T will have wide, ultra-wide and macro cameras.

Additionally, Xiaomiui asserts that the Mi 12T will utilise a 1080p display with an integrated fingerprint scanner. The display will also operate at up to 120 Hz, a given for flagship Xiaomi smartphones at this point.

Unsurprisingly, the Mi 12T and Redmi K50, codenamed Poussin, will share much of the same hardware. In fact, all that separates the Redmi K50 from the Mi 12T is the lack of OIS and no under-display fingerprint scanner. Both will also feature an SM8250 chipset, the part number Qualcomm uses for the Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 865 Plus and the Snapdragon 870. Presumably, Xiaomi will rely on the Snapdragon 870, not its predecessors.

According to the Twitter account, both devices will launch in 2022, albeit it is unclear when. Based on previous releases, we would expect to see the Redmi K50 before the Mi 12T, itself probably due a few months after the Mi 12. At any rate, Xiaomi is yet to reveal the Mi 11T, which has also leaked recently.
