Mi 11T and Mi 10T Lite join the list of Xiaomi phones with MIUI memory extension support
A few more smartphones have been added to the list of supported devices in regard to the MIUI memory extension feature. According to Xiaomi sleuth Kacper Skrzypek at least three more phones have been updated with this useful virtual RAM feature while three others are likely to be also included. The latest additions are as follows:
Support memory extension:
- Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 (now upgraded from an older list of “devices that may be supported in future”)
Likely to be added to the list:
- Xiaomi Mi 11T
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G
- One unreleased but “similar to 11T” – maybe a Mi 11T Lite or Mi 11T Pro
There is a caveat to keep in mind for this current state of affairs, as the tipster points out that support for the Mi 10T Lite and Mi 10 Lite Zoom comes with the China beta software update. In addition, the Mi Mix 4 support is supplied via the China stable ROM V12.5.4.0.RKMCNXM update. However, it shouldn’t be too long before these MIUI software updates reach their Global, India, Russia, etc. ROM counterparts.
The MIUI memory expansion utility allows users to take advantage of a supported phone’s storage to provide an extra amount of virtual RAM, with the amount available depending on the device’s configuration. Low-end phones with just 64 GB storage will have access to 1 GB virtual RAM while high-end smartphones should be able to utilize an additional 3 GB via the memory extension tool.
Mi 10T Lite and Mi 10 Lite Zoomsupports Memory extension in China Beta 21.8.17. MIX 4 supports it in China Stable V12.5.4.0.RKMCNXM.
