According to WinFuture, Xiaomi plans to bring the Redmi Display 27" to Europe next month. However, the 27-inch monitor has received a name change since debuting earlier this year in China. For some reason, the Redmi Display 27" is now the Mi Desktop Monitor 27", even though there are no regional differences between the global and Chinese models.
Hence, the Mi Desktop Monitor 27" has an IPS panel that resolves at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The monitor is also TÜV Rheinland certified, has 178° viewing angles and boasts a 75 Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, the Mi Desktop Monitor 27" offers thin bezels on three sides, a 3.5 mm jack, HDMI 1.4 and VGA. Likewise, the monitor has a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a peak brightness of 300 nits.
WinFuture states that the Mi Desktop Monitor 27" will launch in September with a €229 MSRP. The website adds that some retailers have already listed the monitor for approximately €160, so that MSRP may not hold for long.
