The Mi A3 receives the August update globally with bug fixes and performance improvements
The Mi A3 is Xiaomi's last supported Android One device and the company continues to take its software development seriously. The two-year-old phone is now receiving a new update globally.
The August security patch is currently being rolled out to the Mi A3. The OTA arrives with the software designation " V12.0.13.0 RFQMIXM", denoting that it's an Android 11-based patch for the global version of the Mi A3. The update weighs in at just 35 MB, typical of Android One updates, and promises security and bug fixes, as well as overall system optimization and improved performance. This update is already in the stable release stage, so should be landing on all Mi A3 global units now.
It's important to note that the Mi A3 is now in its last year of support. The device has already received its two promised major OS updates, so will not be receiving Android 12 when it's released. We expect support for the device to end entirely sometime in July 2022.
