Realme GT6 officially slated to launch as 2024's brightest flagship smartphone
Realme has announced that its GT6 will become the world's first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered Android smartphone with 6,000 nits of peak brightness on its launch.
The upcoming flagship will indeed have BOE's latest S1+ panel, which combines 8T LTPO technology for potentially enhanced power-efficiency on an AMOLED display with a 2,500Hz touch response rating.
The GT6 is now also officially slated to debut Crystal Armor Glass, Realme's answer to the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro's Crystal Shield Glass that is backed to withstand "5,000x" exposure to wire wool without showing scratches.
However, while the the 3 Pro might be (technically) dimmer than its upcoming rival, it still has the larger battery at 6,100mAh of typical capacity. Then again, Realme has also just revealed that the GT6 will charge faster at 120W, thereby juicing up by 50% in as little as 12 minutes.
Nevertheless, its up-to-date silicon-carbon battery is touted to stay healthy for up to 4 years. The GT6 will be exclusive to the Chinese market on its July 9, 2024 launch, although its 1.5K S1+ display is also available on Amazon in India and Europe as part of its mid-range GT 6T counterpart.
