The Oppo Find X9 series was recently launched in China, comprising two models: the standard X9 and the X9 Pro. The company is expected to introduce additional models in the series, including the Oppo Find X9s. Ahead of any official confirmation, a leak has surfaced revealing the key details of the upcoming compact flagship phone.
Writing on Weibo, reputable tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the Find X9s will have a 6.3-inch LTPS panel with a 1.5K resolution. It is said to be a flat display with rounded corners and slim symmetrical bezels.
The upcoming compact flagship device may feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500+ chipset. It is expected to be an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9500, which is a flagship SoC powering the Find X9 and X9 Pro.
The Oppo Find X9s is tipped to feature a 50MP triple rear camera setup. A 50MP IMX9-series large sensor is currently being tested for the phone, as suggested by the tipster. Moreover, the phone will feature a periscope telephoto lens.
Previously, the tipster also suggested that it may feature a battery of around 7,000mAh. For comparison, the Vivo X300 has a 6,040mAh battery. The Find X9s may feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and support wireless charging.
The compact flagship positioning will put it against the likes of the Vivo X300, which also features a 6.3-inch display and is powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset. Meanwhile, another compact phone, the OnePlus 15T, is expected to be in works.
The tipster suggests that the Oppo Find X9s will be launched next year, although no concrete release date has been revealed yet. For now, Oppo is set to bring the vanilla Find X9 and the X9 Pro to the global market on October 28.
