Helldivers 2 has now sold over 19 million copies across all platforms

Helldivers 2 continues to prove that it’s one of the biggest success stories in gaming. The game was first released in February 2024 for PS5 and PC, and it quickly became one of the most popular co-op shooters of the year. Almost two years later, it’s still going strong and showing no signs of slowing down.

According to a new report from Alinea Analytics, Helldivers 2 has now sold 19.4 million copies across all platforms. That’s a huge number, and it puts the game very close to crossing the 20 million mark.

Alinea Analytics also shared how these sales are divided between platforms. Out of the total, 12.6 million copies were sold on Steam, 5.4 million on PlayStation 5, and 1.4 million on Xbox Series X/S. For those who don’t know, while the PS5 and PC versions were released back in February 2024, the Xbox version was released much later, in August 2025. And within just six days of launch, the game sold nearly 1 million copies on Xbox, outpacing PS5’s launch numbers. 

Based on how things are going so far, it won’t be long before Helldivers 2 crosses 20 million copies sold. Arrowhead’s CEO also recently claimed that they see Helldivers 2 as a “forever game” and have no plans for a sequel. Instead, they will continue to support the current game by adding new features, improving gameplay, and fixing performance issues.
