Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani says more patches will be released to improve Helldivers 2’s stability, but it will take some time before players see major performance improvements.

While Helldivers 2 is been one of the biggest multiplayer hits of the past two years, gamers have been dealing with serious performance issues since its release. Many have reported problems like lag, crashes, and frame drops across all platforms, and the situation got even worse after the game’s last major update, Into the Unjust.

Now, Arrowhead’s CEO, Shams Jorjani, has shared a new update regarding performance in the game’s official Discord server. According to him, before Helldivers 2 can reach a new “normal”, players can expect several more patches to roll out. These updates will focus on fixing existing problems and improving stability step by step.

However, this is something that will take time. In fact, Jorjani added that it will take many more months before the game’s performance sees any meaningful improvement.

“Before we return to (what we hope is a new normal) we have more patches coming.” He further added, “Performance will take many many more months of work to get to even more meaningful improvement.”

This means that while Arrowhead is working hard to fix the problems, players shouldn’t expect big performance improvements anytime soon. The developers also recently mentioned that they have decided to delay some of the future content updates to focus on making the game more stable instead.
