OnePlus officially confirms Nord 6 along with key highlights and launch date

Amid rumors of OnePlus scaling back operations in certain markets, the company has confirmed it will launch the Nord 6 in India. For reference, it will succeed the Nord 5, which launched as a mid-range smartphone last year.
The OnePlus Nord 6 will launch on April 7 in India. It has been teased in three colors: black, silver, and green. Additionally, the company has revealed key highlights of the smartphone.
It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. For reference, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is an octa-core chipset based on a 4nm process that also powers the Nothing Phone (3) (curr. $639 on Amazon). Notably, the Nord 6 also has an in-house Wi-Fi Chip G2 and a Touch Reflex Chip.
The Nord 6 features a 165Hz OLED panel with 1800-nit peak brightness. The phone packs a large 9,000mAh battery, up from 6,800mAh on its predecessor. According to a previous leak, it may feature a 50MP rear camera with OIS and a 32MP selfie camera.
Availability outside India is yet to be confirmed, though it has reportedly (via GSMArena) cleared regulatory certifications in Malaysia and the UAE. A previous leak also hinted that the company may launch the OnePlus Nord 6 Naruto Limited Edition.
