Apple plans to equip iPhone with Siri app that can access personal data, according to Bloomberg

According to the latest information from Bloomberg, Apple's AI offensive will finally be ready for the market in 2026, as the brand new AI version of Siri is to be launched at the WWDC on June 8 before the brand new AI features are expected to be released as part of iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 in September or October.
Siri will be available in iOS 27 as a standalone app on the iPhone home screen, with a brand new design and ChatGPT-style "Ask Siri" chatbot features. The brand new version of Siri, which Apple is developing internally under the codename "Campo", can reportedly access numerous apps as well as personal user data such as emails, notes and text messages in order to answer a wide range of queries. The Siri app will display previous conversations in a grid of rounded rectangles, each showing the last message of the respective conversation.
It should be possible to favorite and search chats or start a new chat by clicking on a large "plus" button. Conversations with the chatbot will be modeled on Apple's Messages app. Just like ChatGPT, Siri should also be able to type or speak requests and upload photos or documents. If Siri is started via the lock button, the AI assistant will be displayed in the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 17 ($788 on Amazon).
The iPhone search function Spotlight is also to be replaced by Siri and will be able to display AI summaries of web content directly. "Ask Siri" will allow Siri to be integrated directly into apps via a button, while "Write with Siri" will be able to create AI-generated text directly via the iPhone keyboard. Siri is said to be based on a combination of proprietary AI models from Apple and Google Gemini.
