Mihogo Air hyped as longest-range carbon-fiber e-bike ahead of crowdfunding debut
Mihogo has upgraded its latest electric bike to a dual-battery system. The brand asserts that the Air will still be light enough to be picked up one-handed thanks to a frame made of "Japanese Toray T800" carbon fiber.
The "dual-arm torque sensor"-enabled frame is apparently TÜV-certified to bear loads of up to 220lb (~100kg). Its 2 batteries - located in different parts of its step-through frame - are also to be equipped with "GANFast" technology for charging sessions that could be as short as 45 minutes each.
They are also touted to power the Air for up to 128 miles (~204 kilometers (km)) per charge (although its recent Decathalon rival claims up to 124 miles under certain circumstances). Mihogo claims that the user will get that far in comfort thanks to its urban-style leather saddle, handlebars and dual suspension.
The Air is also hyped to cost just $999 - to the first 99 consumers to back it during its upcoming Indiegogo campaign, that is.
