Flyer offers new e-bike with modern components and powerful suspension for demanding terrain
Cyclists looking for an e-bike for their daily commute to work are probably in the wrong place with the Uproc Evo:X New unless the direct route leads through challenging terrain and jumps are on the agenda. According to the manufacturer, the Uproc Evo:X New is an uncompromising E-Enduro with a Bosch mid-motor, so the latest Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 85 Nm is installed. An 800 Wh PowerTube battery integrated into the frame is also installed. The range can be significantly extended with the Bosch PowerMore 250 range extender. A Smart System module is on board and, as is absolutely standard for e-mountain bikes, no expansive Kiox display is installed, just the system controller and mini remote.
The bike is available in two model variants: the Uproc Evo:X New 4.10 and 8.50. There are differences in the components used such as the fork, shock absorber and brakes. The cheaper model uses the RockShox Domain R suspension fork with 170 millimeters, while the Uproc Evo:X New 8.50 version uses the Fox 38 Float Performance with 180 millimeters. The shock absorber comes from either SR Suntour or Fox. Hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano with 4 brake pistons and 220 and 203 millimeter brake discs are installed in either case, although the specific model differs. Both models are mullet E-bikes, meaning that the front wheel is 29 inches and the rear wheel is 27.5 inches. A Shimano Deore or SRAM GX Eagle derailleur system with 12 gears each is installed.
The stated weight is around 53 lb (24 kg). The bike will be available from January 2025 and the recommended retail price for the 4.10 model is $8,799.
