Desiknio now has a new electric bike on offer, which is barely recognisable as such, but nevertheless offers a decent level of support and comes in two different model variants.

The Endorphin from Desiknio is a new and inconspicuous electric bike that comes in two different model variants. Customers can choose between the Endorphin with a flat handlebar or a drop handlebar. In other words, this means either a classic, straight handlebar or a curved handlebar like on racing cycles. The drop handlebars allow for different hand and riding positions, thus conferring aerodynamic advantages and higher levels of riding comfort, especially on long rides.

Irrespective of the model variant chosen, the weight is stated as 26 pounds or 12 kilograms. Such a low weight can only be achieved, particularly on an e-bike, with a carbon frame, and the fork is also made of the material. A Mahle X20 hub motor is installed, which reportedly delivers a torque of up to 55 Nm. An iX250 battery with a capacity of 250 Wh is integrated, and a range extender can also be optionally installed. Without a range extender, a range of up to 62 miles or 100 kilometers is specified.

There is a Shimano XT 12F derailleur system with 12 gears, which should result in decent efficiency even without electrical support. 160 millimetre hydraulic disc brakes discs are installed. Lighting is integrated, but there are no mudguards, no kickstand nor a pannier rack. Schwalbe G-One Speed 50-622 tyres are fitted.

The bike is now available for pre-order at a starting price of €5,895, with the drop handlebar model costing €100 more.
