Segway GoKart Pro 2 lauded as one of the Best Inventions of 2024
The Segway GoKart Pro 2 is currently priced at $2,049.99 on Amazon - nevertheless, it is pitched as a worthwhile investment for those who also like to practise their racing inside the house.
It does indeed look like a classic, if high-tech, go-kart with an upgraded "multi-functional" dashboard to go with its "auto-centering" steering wheel and apparently well-cushioned racing-style seat. Therefore, it may indeed make an appreciable racing simulator when its ability to plug into a PC is in use.
The GoKart Pro 2 is also rated for "360-degree" haptics, a paddle shifter and the option of either manual or automatic drive. It is also touted as equally effective on the road, with a "4,800W air-cooled" motor and 96Nm of torque.
On the other hand, it can only go at up to 26.7 miles per hour for up to 15.5 miles per charge once on the road, thanks to its 432Wh battery. It also owes that power to the Ninebot S Max hoverboard that forms its rear wheels and can be removed from the go-kart's adjustable chassis for independent use.
Regardless, the GoKart Pro 2 is backed to be as much fun inside the house as it is outside, and as such now features as one of TIME Magazine's Best Inventions of 2024, alongside other advancements such as cutting-edge fake photo-detecting AI, the Huawei Mate XT and the Figure 02 humanoid robot.
