OnePlus 13 teaser touts most advanced Android flagship display to date
OnePlus asserts that its upcoming flagship Android smartphone will have the brand's best display yet. It is now officially the first mobile screen with its 2K OLED specs to meet TUV Rheinland's new Intelligent Eye Protection 4.0 standard. The 13 is now touted to be more practical than ever before, too, with a screen that can be used comfortably and accurately in the cold as well as in the rain.
OnePlus has now confirmed what we have suspected for weeks ahead of the brand's upcoming major product event: the 13 will come with a "second-gen Oriental" 2K display with 8T LTPO technology from BOE.
The "super Pro" panel is to come equipped with Glove Touch as well as Rain Touch 2.0 for even more control over its screen in challenging outdoor conditions.
The X2 display has also been augmented with Lingxi Game Touch for "stadium-grade" input latency during gaming. In terms of general quality, OnePlus also claims to have attained a DxOMark A++ rating to go with its HDR10+, HDR Vivid and Dolby Vision certifications.
In a possible dig at Realme and its competing GT7 Pro, OnePlus also lays claim to "true" DC dimming for its impending flagship screen.
All in all, the display is now touted as a fitting successor to that of the OnePlus 12 (now starting at $802.47 on Amazon). However, the 13's front panel has now been casually revealed to be flat rather than curved, with an Alert Slider on the same side (to the left) of its modernized frame.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
