Lenovo Legion Go Lite tipped to bring the heat up against ROG Ally
Asus is pretty much set to unveil its newest gaming handheld at Computex 2024, the ROG Ally X. Although it's more of a refresh than a direct successor, the company will be integrating a good number of improvements. That includes a higher amount of RAM, a larger battery, and a better cooling setup.
But it seems like Asus isn't the only one that's readying up a launch of a new gaming handheld. According to the sources cited by Windows Central, Lenovo Legion Go Lite is reportedly on the way. Like the ROG Ally X, it will be a revised version of the existing non-Lite version.
There aren't any concrete details on the upcoming gaming handheld yet, but it's said to pack the same AMD Ryzen Z1 range processor. However, the Legion Go Lite is expected to bring a couple of refinements over the non-Lite variant, but there's no exact word on what these refinements might be.
Given the "Lite" naming, you can expect it to be lighter and smaller than the Lenovo Legion Go. To fill you in, the regular variant weighs 200 grams higher than the Asus ROG Ally. Of course, the extra weight and size are put to good use, coming with features such as a larger screen and a kickstand.
Besides that, the "Lite" naming means a more affordable price tag. The current Legion Go starts at $699.99 (512/16 GB curr. $628.99 on Amazon), which is a bit higher than the non-Extreme AMD Ryzen Z1 Asus ROG Ally. This could also mean that the upcoming Lenovo handheld gaming PC may not feature the Z1 Extreme.
We should be getting more details on the Lenovo Legion Go Lite soon, and the debut may even coincide with the Asus ROG Ally X.
