There has been a good number of rumors revolving around the upcoming AMD Strix Point line of processors. The latest information comes from AOOSTAR, which is known for its extensive mini PC lineup (R7 curr. $299.95 on Amazon). When asked on the company's Discord channel about when it will be releasing the next-gen Ryzen mini PCs, a representative responded by saying, "The big brand will be launched in August," with its new mini computers estimated to hit the markets in around October.
The representative hasn't specifically said that it's the expected timeline for next-gen Ryzen mobile processors. But given that the company sells mini PCs, it's safe to assume that AOOSTAR is referring to the AMD Strix Point mobile line. These new processors are expected to come with the revamped Zen 5 architecture.
A recent leak on AMD Strix Point suggested that the new lineup will be launching as the Ryzen AI 300 series. It also hinted that the top-end processor will be called Ryzen AI HX 370. As per the leak, the reason AMD is going with the "300" moniker is that the processors will be coming with the third generation of the company's NPU.
Of course, the naming of the new Ryzen mobile processors isn't finalized until AMD officially announces the lineup. The good part is that we might not need to wait long, as the company is expected to have a special keynote at Computex 2024, which is set for next week.
