Designed around the X870E chip architecture from AMD to fully support the 7000, 8000, and 9000 Series AM5 processors, Biostar's X870E Valkyrie is a high-end motherboard able to accommodate up to 192 GB of DDR5 memory, which also provides a rich set of storage and expansion options alongside a 22-phase Dr.MOS power design.

While AMD was unveiling the new Zen 5 processors, Biostar was doing its part by providing new mainboards that would accommodate these chips. The flagship product unveiled today is the X870E Valkyrie motherboard, which targets creative professionals and gamers looking for the ultimate levels of performance, stability, and hardware support.

This new motherboard comes with four DDR5 slots that can take in up to 192 GB of memory while also supporting AMD Expo, all backed by a 22-phase & 110A Dr.MOS power design. The list of expansion slots includes a pair of PCIe 5.0 x16, a single PCIe 4.0 x16, one PCIe 5.0 M.2, and no less than six SATA3 connectors. There are also no less than ten USB ports, of which the USB 4 Type-C pair on the rear also comes with video output support. The X870E Valkyrie sports Realtek 2.5G Ethernet LAN connectivity and  Realtek ALC1220 7.1 CH HD audio with gold audio caps.

In addition to the above, the Biostar X870E Valkyrie also comes with Vivid LED DJ + RGB Sync for those looking to improve the looks of their desktop builds, as well as a Smart BIOS Update button paired with a Smart BIOS Update USB port for making the whole firmware update process as easy as possible.

Sadly, the Biostar X870E Valkyrie has no price and launch date yet. However, those willing to settle for a motherboard and a AMD Ryzen 7000 Series chip can grab the Gigabyte X670 Gaming X AX V2 instead. This piece of hardware currently goes for $223.39 on Amazon and also comes alongside a free Amazon Music subscription.
