All-white X870 WiFi 7 motherboard launches with USB4 and 5GbE LAN at a mid-range price

Designed around AMD’s X870 chipset to support Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series AM5 processors, the Sapphire Pure X870A WiFi 7 is an ATX motherboard with a striking white aesthetic, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, 5GbE LAN, and 16+2+1 Phase power delivery for high-performance desktop builds.

SAPPHIRE has officially launched its next-generation AM5 motherboard, the Pure X870A WIFI 7, designed for gamers and modern PC builders. The standout feature here is the striking "all-white" design with extreme memory support – it’s a neat new design that'll bring both style and speed right to your custom rig.

Now, the usual gaming motherboard, like the Biostar intros X870E Valkyrie, gives a standard dark look and baseline memory speeds for things like graphics cards, processors, and storage. But with hardware enthusiasts increasingly focusing on cleaner system aesthetics and higher-performance components, a better solution is needed to address these build requirements.

This is where the Pure X870A motherboard comes in. Sapphire has introduced a 16+2+1 phase VRM design capable of delivering 55A per phase for stable CPU power delivery. The motherboard also supports up to 256GB of dual-channel DDR5 memory, with speeds reaching up to 8400 MHz (OC) for high-performance desktop builds.

Additionally, the power delivery is also designed to work together with a dedicated heatsinks for the VRM, M.2 storage, and chipset, giving some extra stability when the system is under stress. This could really help out folks running setups that demand heavy processing, such as those featuring the latest high-end AMD processors like the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X for intense gaming or streaming workloads.

SAPPHIRE even threw out a high-end connectivity setup where a user dont need to think about ultra-fast networking and versatile ports. The board packs WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and Realtek 5Gb Ethernet, while the USB 4.0 Type-C port handles 40Gbps bandwidth, DisplayPort Alt Mode, and 15W Power Delivery. That totals up to a massive amount of I/O, which previous-generation X570-series motherboards couldn't handle.

Overview of the Sapphire Pure X870A WiFi 7 motherboard highlighting its key features

The PURE X870A layout looks incredibly clean with its all-white design and its ATX form factor. On top of that, it’s got a multi-color Debug LED and SAPPHIRE CORE BIOS to handle complex troubleshooting and tuning needs. There's also the TriXX-M software for Windows-based control; all this should give gamers and creators the room to really push their high-end gear, including monitoring performance and customizing lighting.

SAPPHIRE's PURE X870A WIFI 7 motherboard will be available through authorized partners worldwide, with an MSRP of $249 USD.

On paper, the features look all well and good, but companies usually cut corners to make their products cheaper than their competitors, and this time is no different, cause instead of newer audio codecs like the Realtek ALC4080 or Realtek ALC4082, you will be stuck with older Realtek ALC897. On top of that, for folks running setups that demand massive PCIe lane expansion for multiple add-in cards, just have to stick with that single PCIe 5.0 x16 slotm, which can feel a bit limiting.
