A release window for the Gothic remake has finally been announced

Fans have been eagerly waiting since 2019 for the release date of the Gothic remake (available to pre-order on Amazon for $60) to finally be announced. Although there is still no fixed release date, it is now known when the game will be released at the latest - by April 1, 2025.
This information comes from the annual report of the Embracer Group which includes the Spanish development team from Alkimia Interactive. The report states that all announced games, including the Gothic remake, are to be released by the beginning of the next financial year. Fans can only hope that the long-awaited remake will not be delayed until the end of the financial year.
New graphics, larger map, same gameplay
The Gothic remake is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and should look much better than its predecessor. The storyline and gameplay are to be largely based on the essence of the original game. There will be a new sideways step for dodging. A new ending is also planned for the remake of the game, which many see as the right move. After all, the last act in the original game ended a little too quickly and was not particularly popular with fans.
Fans can also look forward to a larger map and a more modern interface. Particularly pleasing for audiophile Gothic players: Kai Rosenkranz, the composer of the original game, has returned to take care of the soundtrack for the remake, which is to be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
