Philips has expanded its Evnia gaming monitor series once again, having presented the Evnia 49M2C8900L last week. For context, the Evnia 49M2C8900L is a cheaper alternative to the Evnia 49M2C8900 (curr. $1,499.99 on Amazon) that debuted in August 2023. Now, the company has released the Evnia 27M2N5500, which sits at the other end of Philips' Evnia product range.
Specifically, the Evnia 27M2N5500 utilises a 27-inch Fast IPS panel that outputs at 1440p (2,560 x 1,440) with 350 nits peak brightness and a 1,200:1 contrast ratio. According to Philips, the monitor also covers 125%, 93.5% and 89% of the sRGB, DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB colour spaces, respectively. Accordingly, the Evnia 27M2N5500 is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. Moreover, the monitor boasts 1 ms GtG response times, or 0.5 ms response times, when measuring via the MPRT standard.
On top of that, the Evnia 27M2N5500 has a 180 Hz refresh rate, much like the Xiaomi Redmi Display G24 that we detailed yesterday. Furthermore, Philips has integrated the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 2x HDMI 2.0
- 4x USB 3.2 Type-A downstream (2x fast charge B.C 1.2)
- 1x USB Type-B upstream
Also, the Evnia 27M2N5500 finds itself with a stand that supports 130 mm height, -/+ 90-degree pivot, -/+ 30-degree swivel and -5/20-degree tilt adjustments. Currently, Philips has priced the Evnia 27M2N5500 at £239.99 in the UK and €279 in the Eurozone. Please see Philips' website for more details.
