AOC has introduced another set of gaming monitors under its G4 series. On the one hand, it has created the AGON GAMING 24G4XE. On the other hand, it has also created the larger AGON GAMING 27G4XE, release details of which we have covered separately.
Building on the AGON GAMING 24G4X from earlier this year, the AGON GAMING 24G4XE utilises a Fast IPS panel that measures 23.8-inches across. Like the 24G4X, the 24G4XE outputs at 1080p (1,920 x 1,080) with a 180 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the AGON GAMING 24G4XE delivers 1 ms GtG response times, a 1,000:1 static contrast ratio and 300 nits peak brightness.
Moreover, the AGON GAMING 24G4XE supports Adaptive Sync and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies with a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4 port at its disposal. Seemingly, the 24G4X and 24G4XE only differ in terms of their stands. In a press release, AOC explains that the latter has a 'no-frills stand design'. Practically speaking, this means that the 24G4XE can be tilted but misses out on a pivot, swivel and height-adjustable stand.
Unsurprisingly, the 24G4XE is slightly cheaper than the 24G4X. Nonetheless, the 24G4XE contains a 100 x 100 mm VESA mount for using an external stand. AOC will begin selling the AGON GAMING 24G4XE this month for £139.99 in the UK and €179 in the Eurozone. In other words, the 24G4XE is £10/€10 cheaper than the 24G4X while retaining the same underlying hardware.
