Thunderobot has joined ASUS and LG in announcing a dual-display mode gaming monitor. While Thunderobot has released gaming monitors before, it is probably best known for its projector division. For context, the Thor Bagel Civi arrived only a few months ago as a budget projector that also runs Android 9.0.
By contrast, the Thunderobot Silver Wings is a premium monitor that Thunderobot is initially offering for CNY 9,999 (~$1,380). As one image below states, Thunderobot is advertising the Silver Wings as a QD-OLED monitor. However, Samsung Display has not created a QD-OLED panel yet that can switch between 1080p/480 Hz and 4K/240 Hz modes.
Instead, the specifications that Thunderobot has provided so far suggest the Silver Wings features the same WOLED panel as the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP and LG UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE. Consequently, the Silver Wings measures 31.5-inches across and provides excellent colour accuracy (98.5% DCI-P3). Moreover, the monitor boasts high peak brightness, fast response times and modern ports, including a 90 W USB Type-C connection. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether Thunderobot will offer its new Silver Wings gaming monitor internationally.
