Anbernic RG Cube officially unveiled as company confirms key specs in first promo video
Anbernic has now provided full specifications for its next gaming handheld. Pictured above, the RG Cube will be available in Beige White, Radiant Purple, and Grey colour options, all powered by Unisoc's Tiger T820 chipset. For reference, the 6 nm chipset contains a Mali-G57 MP4 GPU clocked at 850 MHz, as well as ARM Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A76 CPU cores split into two clusters of four cores apiece.
In other words, the RG Cube relies on the same chipset that underpins the larger Anbernic RG556 (curr. $269.99 on Amazon). Additionally, Anbernic has confirmed that the former will rely upon 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 flash storage. Not only that, but the RG Cube supports microSD cards of up to 2 TB in capacity.
Moreover, Anbernic has included a 3.95-inch IPS display that boasts a 720 x 720-pixel native resolution, touchscreen functionality and full OCA lamination. Furthermore, the RG Cube runs Android 13 with Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac connectivity, unlike some of the company's other smaller retro gaming handhelds. On top of that, Anbernic has equipped the new 1:1 gaming handheld with a 5,200 mAh battery that it rates for up to 7 hours of usage on a single charge. Although the company has not shared pricing or availability yet, we imagine it is only a few days away from doing so.
