Hyperkin has released its The Competitor wired controller in three new colors. Released nearly a year ago in black and white, the gamepad has a DualSense-like design, but is made for Xbox consoles and Windows PCs.

Hyperkin launched The Competitor wired controller for Xbox in August 2025. The controller, which is styled like a PS5 DualSense controller, was initially available to buy in Black and White colors only. Now, Hyperkin has released it in three extra colors.

Actually, the new colors, were revealed when the controller launched last year, but it was reported that some would be exclusive to select regions. Like the other colors, these too have a dual-color finish, with black being the secondary color. The new colors are Midas Touch which is Gold, but with black buttons; Murasaki which is actually Purple and has purple buttons; and a Red version called Widow which has Red buttons.

The new colors are available to buy on Hyperkin's website for $49.99, the same price as the Black and White. They are also available to buy on Amazon. As a matter of fact, the white version is on sale and you can buy it for $44.99 for a limited time.

Hyperkin's The Competitor is a wired controller for Xbox consoles (Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X) and Windows PC. It has a symmetrical thumbstick layout, a segmented D-pad, Hall Effect thumbsticks with metal glide rings, impulse Hall Effect triggers, and two remappable back buttons that can be locked. It also has an audio jack and a dedicated microphone mute button. The controller connects via a USB cable to your console or PC.
