Console Wars: Lego's PlayStation set wants to take on Mattel's original Xbox set

Mattel recently announced a 1:1 build set of the original Xbox console and The Duke controller in celebration of the console's 25th anniversary. Now, a leak has revealed details of Lego's near 1:1 build set of the original PlayStation and its controller.
The leak comes from the Instagram account, Brick Tap, which is known for sharing leaks and news about Lego sets. According to the source, the Lego PlayStation set will have a near 1:1 build of the original PlayStation that is 26cm wide and 17 cm tall when opened.
The set will have pull-out sides that reveal dioramas of two PS1 games, Gran Turismo and Ape Escape, alongside other easter eggs. In contrast, Mattel's Xbox set includes dioramas for Halo: Combat Evolved, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and Psychonauts with controller-activated lights and sounds and twelve 1-inch nanoworld figures.
The PlayStation set will be made up of 1,911 pieces which is far fewer than the 3,509 pieces of Mattel's Xbox original console set. The Lego PlayStation set is also reported to include a Lego Astrobot as a free gift. When the set launches, it is expected to have a price tag of $160, less than half the $329.99 price tag of the Mattel Xbox set ($324 when you pre-order it).
The release date for the PlayStation set is reported to be October 1 and it should be available online and at Lego stores. Mattel, on the other hand, says the Xbox set should begin to ship on or before October 16.
