Xbox 25th anniversary edition console gets pricing and release date; to come with free AAA game

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Xbox announced a special edition Xbox Series X and wireless controller at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 in June. Now, it has revealed pricing and availability details for the anniversary collection.

The collection, which includes the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition and Xbox X25 Special Edition wireless controller, has a translucent OG green design. The console also has details and tributes that celebrate Xbox's history, and each unit has an individual number with a unique engraving.

The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition will come with a single Xbox X25 Special Edition wireless controller in the box. It has also been announced that each console will include a free copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved, the latest entry in the Halo game series.

The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition is available to pre-order starting on August 27 at 7 AM PDT for $899.99 in the US, £759.99 in the UK, and €899.99 in Europe. However, some fans will receive an email today to pre-order the collection. The console will be released on November 13, 2026.

Those who don't want the console or want an extra controller will be able to purchase the Xbox X25 Special Edition wireless controller separately for $79.99 in the US (available to pre-order on Amazon), £74.99 in the UK, and €79.99 in Europe. Pre-orders are already live ahead of its release on October 20.
