PlayStation Pulse Elevate speakers to cost $220/€220 when pre-order opens on September 1

Sony announced the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers nearly a year ago with a planned release for sometime in 2026. Today, it has finally revealed when it will be available to pre-order alongside its release date. The announcement also includes pricing and availability details.

The Pulse Elevate speakers will have a price tag of $219.99 in the US, €219.99 in Europe, £199.99 in the UK, and ¥37,980 in Japan. Sony has also revealed that pre-orders for the speakers will begin on September 1, 2026 at 10 AM local time/10 AM ET in the US. The release date is set for November 12, 2026 more than a year after it was first announced. Let's hope it doesn't get delayed like the FlexStrike wireless fight stick.

Although the speaker was announced in Midnight Black and White, it appears availability will vary depending on the region. According to the PlayStation blog, the Pulse Elevate in Midnight Black will be available globally on direct.playstation.com and at participating retailers.

The White version, on the other hand, will be exclusive to direct.playstation.com for those in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Those in other regions will be able to purchase it at select retailers.

The Pulse Elevate wireless speakers are designed to work with the PS5/PS5 Pro, PC, and Mac to provide a life-like desktop audio experience. They can also be used on the go with a PlayStation Portal or smartphone or connected to a TV, streaming device, or other Bluetooth devices just like the Pulse Elite wireless headset (available on Amazon for $149).

Sony says each speaker has studio-inspired planar magnetic drivers that reproduce sounds from games exactly the way developers intended. They also have a built-in woofer and support the PS5's Tempest 3D AudioTech for an immersive experience.

The speakers feature built-in microphones with AI-enhanced noise rejection feature, physical controls at the top, dual connectivity (PlayStation Link and Bluetooth), and ship with charging docks. There's no info on their battery life, but the product page says they should provide hours of use when unplugged. They can be placed to face you or tilted backwards at an angle if you wish.
