Mafia Definitive Edition reportedly coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as official ESRB rating surfaces

Mafia Definitive Edition was released in 2020 as a remake of the original Mafia, which launched in 2002. The game is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but it appears that it could soon be making its way to newer consoles.

While Hangar 13 and 2K Games have yet to officially announce anything, a new rating for Mafia Definitive Edition has appeared on the ESRB website for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, which suggests that a native current-generation version is in development. The game has been rated M for Mature, just like its existing versions.

However, the ESRB rating does not provide any details about what players can expect from the new versions. It is currently unclear what new features and improvements the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S editions will offer. There is also no word on when the game will officially launch on the two platforms.

Still, the appearance of the rating could mean an announcement is not too far away. ESRB ratings often appear when development is almost complete, so we could hear more from Hangar 13 or 2K Games soon.
