The date comes as no surprise after Switch 2 leaks indicated pre-orders would begin immediately after the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct.

Tech journalist Matt Swider has a reputation for reliably tracking console stock levels. He already expected Switch 2 pre-orders to commence one hour after Nintendo's April 2nd presentation. That would match Nintendo's pattern with the 2017 Nintendo Direct for the original Switch. While Best Buy Canada isn't specific, he pins 10 AM EST as the starting time for gamers in multiple regions. Swider also predicts a $399 asking price, which aligns with reports from other insiders.

Unfortunately, the updated Best Buy blog doesn't divulge a Switch 2 price, release date, or any surprising specs. Still, it confirms some features that seem obvious based on Nintendo's January announcement video.
