Notion ink: Notion Ink’s Adam Tablet - what’s new?
The Adam tablet will have a user replaceable battery in addition to a Comic Store app
Based upon a few scanty updates posted by Notion Ink on its website, it is news that its Adam tablet is running ahead of its official deadline by a week and has already been submitted to the FCC. Grapevine has it that the tablet in all likelihood will possess a user replaceable battery in addition to a Comic Store software if all goes on track, information on which will be clearer by this October.
The 10.1-inch tablet will be packaged with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 Chip and is said to ship between November and January. The Tegra 2 sports world’s first dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processing chip, and an NVIDIA graphics card. It can process HD video playback as well.
The Adam tablet is being seen as scoring high on the power saving mode with provisions for turning off the LED on both models that will go up for sale in the market, i.e.- the one with the Pixel Qi display as well as the other with the LCD screen. Considerable amount of energy can be sought to be conserved while listening to audio or other activities where the screen is redundant.
It’s also bundled with connectivity options like that of 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi in addition to support from the Google Android OS. The price band is said to begin from a cut off level of $399 with prices slated to go even higher.
