In a camera zoom test posted by Versus on YouTube, the Vivo X200 Ultra managed to beat 7 other flagship devices: Oppo Find X8 Ultra, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, iPhone 16 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Honor Magic 7 Pro, and OnePlus 13.

In the video published on June 20, Versus compared 8 flagship phones side by side using the Nikon P1000 as a point of reference. The zoom test started off with 100× zoom photos of the Victory Statue in Berlin, then progressed to a miniature man, headshot of a man, different signs, and moon shots. To wrap it up, Versus did a 10× zoom video of the Victory Statue.

Here is how the phones ranked in the end:

  1. iPhone 16 Pro Max (14 points)
  2. OnePlus 13 (19 points)
  3. Google Pixel 9 Pro XL (22 points)
  4. Honor Magic 7 Pro (24 points)
  5. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (27 points)
  6. Xiaomi 15 Ultra (32 points)
  7. Oppo Find X8 Ultra (34 points)
  8. Vivo X200 Ultra (41 points)

The huge gap in points passes a message which was evident throughout the video — Vivo X200 Ultra was head and shoulders above the competition. It managed to capture readable signs from distances the rest could only dream of.

The Vivo X200 Ultra’s zoom capability is powered by a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3.7x optical zoom, featuring Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9 sensor at its core. Despite its loss, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,219.99 on Amazon) is still a great all-rounder in smartphone performance.
