Huawei updated its Pura smartphone series with four new models earlier this week. Of those, the Pura 80 Ultra has gained the most attention for its innovative sensor-shift periscope telephoto cameras that deliver 3.7x and 9.4x optical zoom levels, respectively. While the device has one of the largest camera housings of any modern smartphone, Huawei has partnered with camera hardware Tilta to take things up a notch.
Like Vivo and Xiaomi before it, Huawei has decided to offer a photography kit that should elevate the camera capabilities of its latest flagship. For context, Tilta has also partnered with DJI to create a variety of accessories for devices like the Osmo Pocket 3 and Osmo Action 5 Pro, like the well-reviewed Full Camera Cage Kit (curr. $49 on Amazon).
According to Tilta, its camera kit adds a custom phone case to which a tripod, a handle containing a 5,000 mAh battery and an external cooler can be attached. On top of that, the kit supports an adjustable fill light, an FSND filter and up to 8x optical zoom external lenses. Tilta expects to release its Pura 80 Ultra camera kit on July 1 in China. Although pricing remains a mystery for now, the company has shared several images ahead of time that we have embedded below.
