The Vivo X Fold5 could be set to receive a wider international release than previously expected. Unveiled last week in China, the new foldable was initially anticipated to reach India in mid-July. To that end, various sources have now spotted Flipkart teeing up the device on its website.
A new National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) listing suggests that Vivo intends to offer the deivce in Thailand soon too. Embedded below, the new listing explicitly mentions the device by name, as well as its V2429 model number. Presumably, the arrival of the X Fold5 in Thailand should mean that it will land in other Southeast Asian countries too, like Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, among others.
For the time being, it is still only possible to obtain Vivo's latest foldable by importing it from China through third-parties. With the Honor Magic V5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 on the horizon, the X Fold5 offers the same performance as last year's Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $999.99 - renewed on Amazon) and several upgrades over the X Fold3 that brings it closer to the X Fold3 Pro. Please see our X Fold5 launch article for full details about Vivo's latest foldable.
