Huawei's next mobile SoC flagship is now thought to launch as the Kirin 9030, which, as that name would make it a direct successor to the pre-existing Kirin 9020, would make sense.
Accordingly, it should be on the market in 2025 so as to debut in the OEM's next top-end smartphones. While the Dimensity 9500 and Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 are thought to vie for as early a September 2025 launch as possible in order to keep up with the Apple A19 Pro, the "9030" might not feature in that race at all.
It is now projected to launch at the end of the year instead - although that might be in enough time for it to debut in successor to the Mate 70, 70 Pro, Pro+ and RS.
The Kirin 9030 might also compete in other devices such as the Mate X7 foldable flagship, not to mention its even more cutting-edge XT 2 tri-folding counterpart.
It might also power the next generation of Pura-series smartphones should they launch in the first half of 2026 when the 9030 is still likely to be most relevant.
