MagyarXiaomi Projector Youth Edition 2S new cheaper model arrives
The Xiaomi Projector Youth Edition 2S is now available to pre-order in China. The model has a native 1080p resolution, with support for HDR10+, and an LED light source generating up to 500 ANSI lumens brightness. You can use the projector to cast images from 60 to 120-in (~152 to 305 cm) wide with a 1.2 throw ratio.
The Projector Youth Edition 2S has an AI image improvement tool and MEMC motion smoothing to enhance moving images. The picture can be optimized with autofocus, keystone correction and intelligent obstacle avoidance tools. Also included in the new model are two 1.75-in 5W speakers, compatible with Dolby Audio, and ports like HDMI, USB 3.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack. The lightweight gadget, weighing 1.3 kg (~2.9 lbs), uses the MIUI TV interface with 2.4GHz/5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.
This allows you to screenshare from a smartphone or tablet, control the device with Xiao AI voice commands, and link the gadget to other products in the Mijia smart home ecosystem. The DLP projector uses a 0.23" DMD chip alongside an Amlogic T982 SoC and 2+16GB memory. You can now pre-order the Xiaomi Projector Youth Edition 2S in China for 2,399 yuan (~US$329). Whether or when the model could launch in other markets remains unclear.
