Xiaomi releases new quad Hi-Fi speaker system with Sound Wireless Audio Connector

Almost nine months have passed since Xiaomi introduced the Sound 2 Max speaker. In the intervening period, the company launched the cheaper Sound 2 Pro too while releasing outdoors Bluetooth speakers internationally, like the Bluetooth Speaker Essential or Sound Outdoor (curr. $51.99 on Amazon). Now, it has combined the pair into a single package alongside its Sound Wireless Audio Connector.
To recap, the Sound 2 Max features two woofers, a midrange driver and a single tweeter. According to the company, these speakers deliver up to 100 W of power with up to 101 dB and a 47 Hz-22 kHz frequency response. All this hardware finds itself within an aluminium housing that measures 197.6 x 135.3 x 363.8 mm and weighs 8.1 kg. As the image below shows, Xiaomi's new package combines two Sound 2 Max speakers with a pair of smaller Sound 2 Pro speakers.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity are supported across all speakers, as is the option of pairing four units together. Moreover, Xiaomi enables its proprietary spatial sound technology when four speakers are paired simultaneously. Meanwhile, the Sound Wireless Audio Connector is said to reduce latency to as low as 64 ms. Xiaomi has priced its Sound 2 package at CNY 6,999 (~$1,029). Allegedly, the company has discounted these from CNY 7,695 (~$1,131). International launch details remain unknown for now, though.
