New TCL A400U QD-Mini LED TV launches with up to 288Hz refresh rate

The TCL A400U Premium Wallpaper QD-Mini LED TV has been unveiled on the brand’s global website. It is called a Wallpaper model as its thin body (44.5 mm/1.75 inches) can sit almost flush to the wall, but it lacks other typical art TV features like a frame and a matte screen. There are five sizes on offer: 55”, 65”, 75”, 85” and 98”.

TCL’s A400U is a MiniLED TV with a 4K resolution, a native refresh rate and QLED technology. The model has a relatively high peak brightness level, up to 2,500 nits HDR brightness, and 93% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. It uses a CSOT HVA panel with a native 7,000:1 contrast ratio, and the backlight of the 98” model has 1,344 local dimming zones. Gaming features include a 288Hz VRR Game Accelerator, Game Master and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro compatibility.

Users can access various streaming apps via the TCL A400U’s Google TV interface. This model also supports Gemini for personalized movie and music recommendations, as well as smart home device controls. Plus, the TV has an integrated 2.0 channel sound system tuned by Onkyo, supporting Dolby Atmos.

In Europe, the TCL A400U Premium Wallpaper QD-Mini LED TV is expected to start from £949/€999 for the 55” model, with the range-topping 98” variant priced at £2,799/€2,899. A complete price list, from third-party retailers like Barlows Electrical and MediaMarkt NL, can be found below. Details of US pricing have yet to be announced.
