TCL unveiled its lineup of SQD or Super Quantum Dot mini-LED TVs at CES 2026 early this year. Soon after, they went on sale in China, and then US sales followed. Now, a few months later, the middle-of-the-pack variant, which is still a massive 85 inches, has been majorly discounted. Furthermore, this TV was recently found to have surpassed HDR10 standards with its recorded peak HDR brightness.

TCL 85-inch X11L SQD Mini-LED TV features and specifications

This 4K (3,840x2,160 pixels) TV features a WHVA 2.0 Ultra panel with what TCL is calling ‘ZeroBorder’ technology, which minimizes bezels. It is an SQD-Mini LED TV with 14,400 dimming zones and a rated up to 10,000 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the TSR AI processor and supports gaming features like FreeSync Premium Pro, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) with Game Accelerator 288, and Game Bar. Of course, it comes with Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10, HDR 10+, and HLG certifications.

Like many other TCL TVs, the X11L lineup also runs on Google TV, featuring Bang & Olufsen speakers. The company has not shared the exact speaker configuration and wattage. For connectivity, there are four HDMI 2.1 ports and an HDMI eARC port. TCL has also included a USB 3.0 as well as two USB 2.0 ports, in addition to Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6.
